Remember this: God did not want his only Son to suffer as he did. God sent his only begotten son to help us learn. Jesus taught us how to love, how to trust, and how to depend on one another, to prosper and to enjoy all of the beauty of the earth. With the miracles that Jesus performed, curing Lazarus, turning water into wine, and feeding them multiple times. God did not want Jesus to wear a crown of thorns, carry the crucifix; he was whipped, beaten, and crucified. That was when Jesus learned about mankind and their weaknesses. He told his father I must do this for them. They do need forgiveness, and through that, the father said commit to heaven, you must go through my son Jesus.           THE GOSPEL OF THOMAS 114 sayings of Jesus buried for 1,500 years.
in 1945 Egyptian monks digging in the sand discovered something extraordinary. An ancient leather-bound book. Inside: teaching unlike anything in the canonical gospels. What makes Thomas so different? No birth story. No miracles. No crucifixion narrative. No resurrection account.
Just pure teachings. Saying after saying.Direct wisdom Key Teachings.
Saying 3 --- "The kingdom of God is inside you, and it is outside of you"
Translation. You don't need a church. You don't need a priest. The divine is WITHIN you.
Saying 70 --- "if you bring forth  what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will kill you"
Translation; Self-knowledge is salvation. Not belief in institutional religion. Not faith in priests. Know yourself.Â
Saying 114 --- Mary Magdalene presented as spiritual equal to male disciples.
Translation; Women can achieve enlightenment. Women don't need male priests as intermediaries.
Why did the church remove it?  Because the Gospel of Thomas teaches.
x Direct access to divine(no priests needed)
x Women as spiritual equals (threatens male priesthood)
x inner kingdom (no need for church building)
x Spirtual knowledge (not institutional faith)
x Individual enlightenment( no hierarchy)
This threatened EVERYTHING the Church was building.
At councils. --- Nicaea(325 AD), Ephesus (431 AD), through Bible translations
-- the Church systematically excluded Thomas. They called it "apocryphal."(382 AD)
For 1,500 years, no one in Europe or the Middle East could read it.

Scholars now recognize the Gospel of Thomas as GENUINE early Christian material
Some sayings are MORE authentic than canonical gospels. The Jesus seminar.
confirmed this though peer-reviewed research.
It's not fake, It's supperssed
What This Means;
The Bible you have is not the complete historical record. It's aÂ
SELECTION made by people with institutional agendas.
The canonical gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) contain
authentic Jesus teaching. But so does Thomas
One was chosen.One was hidden.
Now both are available. You can read them yourself.
The Gospel of Thomas teaches a Jesus who says; "Know yourself.
Access the divine directly. The kingdom is within you. Women are.spiritual equals.
No priests needed."
The institutional Church teaches a Jesus who says;"Have faith
Follow the Church. Obey the priesthood. Believe in my physical resurrection"
Both are in early Christian sources. One was amplified. One was buried.
The question is; Which one resonates with Truth for you?
